Aitmatov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation I. S. Ivanov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan T. N. Nazarov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Kh.Kamilov.
The constructive, interested discussion of two blocks of questions took place: about activities of SCO and about pressing international problems.
It is with satisfaction noted that the cooperation within SCO in the different directions which are provided by the Charter of the Organization signed at the top level on June 7, 2002 in St. Petersburg, develops progressively and becomes more and more rich on content. The parties agreed to prepare specific proposals on further structurization and deepening of multilateral cooperation within the Organization for the next meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of six countries.
Ministers stated that according to the agreements reached at meeting of Chapters of state members of SCO in St. Petersburg hard work on the fastest start of mechanisms of SCO is developed. The basic moments concerning organization of the Secretariat of SCO in Beijing are so far approved, general approaches to the solution of the questions connected with the budget of SCO and expansion of the headquarters of Regional anti-terrorist structure of SCO in Bishkek are developed.
Council of national coordinators, and also the corresponding working groups of experts continue to prepare drafts of the international legal documents necessary for ensuring functioning of SCO and its bodies, meaning exit to their signing at another meeting of heads of states in 2003.
