understanding importance of effective protection of intellectual property for development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of economy, trade, science, the equipment and culture between two states,
wishing to create favorable conditions for this cooperation,
understanding need of expansion of cooperation in the field of protection of the intellectual property rights on the basis of the principles of equality and mutual advantage,
agreed as follows:
For the purposes of this agreement the term "intellectual property" is understood in the value specified in article 2 of the Convention establishing World Intellectual Property Organization, signed in Stockholm on July 14, 1967.
1. The parties according to the national legal systems and international treaties and agreements which participants are the Parties will mutually provide effective protection concerning intellectual property rights of other Party.
2. Concerning protection of the intellectual property rights which are not settled by international treaties which participants are the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ukraine from the effective date of this agreement physical persons and legal entities of one state will use in the territory of other state the same rights and privileges which are granted by this state according to the physical persons and legal entities according to the legislation of this state.
The purpose of this agreement is further expansion and deepening of cooperation of the Parties in the field of economy, trade, science, technologies and culture by ensuring effective protection of intellectual property rights.
