The State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of the tax income of Georgia which are referred to as further with the Parties
for the purpose of strengthening of fight against smuggling and customs offenses,
agreed as follows:
For this agreement the terms determined by the Bases of customs legislations of the State Parties of the CIS accepted by the Decision of heads of states of the Commonwealth of February 10, 1995 are used.
The parties will take the due measures directed to strengthening of customs control in freight and passenger traffic and in post exchange and also on the prevention of illegal import, export and transit of vehicles, loads, baggage, mailings, currency and currency values, in order to avoid possible damage to economic interests of the states of the Parties.
The parties on condition of the compliance with laws and rules existing in their states will interact for the purpose of prevention, investigation and suppression of smuggling and customs offenses.
The parties will exchange:
a) information on the existing customs legislation;
b) information on methods of fight against smuggling and customs offenses, and also data which can promote prevention, investigation and suppression of smuggling and customs offenses;
c) experience of use of technical means of control, specially trained dogs;
d) publications, scientific developments, education guidances, works on questions of fight against smuggling and customs offenses;
e) information on possible routes of smuggling.
The parties on own initiative or on demand according to their national legal system of their states provide each other operational data:
