The government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of Georgia which are hereinafter referred to as the Party

wishing to develop cooperation in the field of provision of pensions of citizens,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

In this agreement:

a) the term "legislation" includes the laws, resolutions of provision in the field of provision of pensions;

b) the term "permanent residence" means the accommodation determined or recognized as that by the legislation of the Parties;

c) the term "citizens" - covers the physical persons having nationality and constantly living in the territory of one of the Parties on which the pension legislation of these Parties extends.

Article 2

This agreement extends to all types of provision of pensions of citizens which are established or will be established by the legislation of each Party.

Questions of provision of pensions of the military personnel of armed forces, workers of state security, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and members of their families are regulated by free standing agreements.

Article 3

The parties provide in the territory to the citizens who moved to the permanent place residence from other Party, the identical rights on an equal basis with the citizens in the field of provision of pensions.

Article 4

All expenses connected with implementation of provision of pensions under this agreement are born by the state providing providing.

Article 5

Purpose of pensions to citizens of the Parties is performed according to the legislation of the Party in the territory of which they constantly live.

For establishment of pension entitlement, irrespective of its type and conditions of appointment, the working (insurance) life acquired in the territory of the Parties and also in the territory of the former USSR till January 1, 1992 is considered.
