The government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Latvia which are referred to as further with the Parties
being guided by the aspiration to make contribution to prevention of illegal cross-border migration and to counteract such migration,
aiming on mutually advantageous basis and in the spirit of cooperation to promote simplification of the return acceptance of persons which performed illegal entrance on the territory of the state of one of the Parties and/or illegally staying in the territory of the state of this Party,
in view of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights accepted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 10, 1948 and the Convention on human rights protection and fundamental freedoms of November 4, 1950,
agreed as follows:
For the purposes of this agreement the following determinations are used:
a) "the requesting Party" - the Party sending inquiry for transfer or transit of person;
b) "the required Party" - the Party to which the inquiry is sent for transfer or transit of person;
c) "Foreigner" - person who is not the citizen of the state of one of the Parties;
d) "Visa" - the legally valid permission issued by competent authority of the Party on single or repeated entrance on the territory of its state and on stay in the territory of its state throughout certain time;
e) "Permission to stay" - the legally valid permission issued by competent authority of the Party, granting to the corresponding person the right to repeated entry into the country and to stay in it. Permission to stay is not the visa, is equal as does not represent possibility of stay in the territory of the state of this Party during consideration of the application about provision to person of shelter either about permission of stay or during the procedure of deportation of person from the country, according to the national legal system.
