attaching great value to environmental protection and rational use of natural resources and wishing to achieve by implementation of cooperation practical results in this area,

really estimating possibility of ecological dangers in connection with adverse climatic and hydroweather conditions and recognizing these problems as general tasks,

realizing importance of protection and environmental improvement, careful and zealous use of natural resources for implementation of economic and social development taking into account interests of the present and future generations,

expressing confidence that the cooperation in the solution of common problems of environmental protection in each of the countries answers their mutual advantage,

wishing farther to help by this cooperation to international efforts on protection, improvement of the environment and rational environmental management as bases of sustainable development at the global and regional levels,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties develop cooperation in the field of environmental protection and rational environmental management on the basis of equality, mutual advantage within the relevant legislation of the states.

Article 2

The parties perform cooperation in the following directions:

a) harmonizations of the ecological legislation, normative legal regulation of environmental protection and environmental management;

b) enhancement of the economic controling mechanism quality of the environment and environmental management;

c) the organizations of especially protected natural territories and preserving biological diversity;

d) rational use of mineral raw material resources by implementation of low-waste and wasteless technologies;

e) protection of the air basin from cross-border pollution;
