Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Purpose of this Law

The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of social partnership.

Article 2. Legislation on social partnership

The legislation on social partnership consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.

If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about social partnership then are applied rules of the international treaty.

Article 3. Social partnership and its subjects

Social partnership is interaction of state bodies with institutes of civil society, including public associations and other non-state non-profit organizations, self-government institutions of citizens, mass media (further - institutes of civil society) in development and program implementation of social and economic development of the country, including industry, territorial programs the, and also regulatory legal acts and other decisions affecting the rights and legitimate interests of citizens.

Subjects of social partnership are state bodies, institutes of civil society.

Interaction of state bodies with self-government institutions of citizens, political parties and the religious organizations is regulated by the separate laws.

Article 4. Basic principles of social partnership

The basic principles of social partnership are:

subordination to the law;

equal rights;

openness and transparency;

availability;

independence;

objectivity;

mutual respect, accounting of interests and responsibility;

voluntariness of adoption of obligations.
