recognizing relevance of cooperation in the field of health care, production of medicines and medical equipment, delivery of health care to citizens of both countries,

proceeding from the principles of equality, respect of sovereignty, mutual advantage and mutual assistance,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties intend to hold consultations and to exchange work experience on enhancement of management system health care, including on introduction of medical insurance of citizens, implementation of other progressive forms of the organization of health care, creation of the health care market.

Article 2

The parties agreed, proceeding from the principles of humanity, on a grant basis to provide the mutual emergency sanitary and preventive, medical and advisory aid.

Article 3

The parties agreed to develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the following fields of health care and medical science:

exchange of operational information on the emergency situations which are of mutual interest;

rendering the specialized help to the population, including participants of the Chernobyl accident;

development of medicinal, diagnostic means, immunobiological medicines, and also cooperation in the field of registration, certification and quality control of products of medical appointment;

development of basic and applied scientific research in the field of experimental, clinical and preventive medicine.
