The government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of Ukraine which are hereinafter referred to as "Party"

according to provisions of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of education between the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States signed in Tashkent on May 15, 1992

relying on historically developed close bonds of friendship between the people of two countries,

aiming to promote mutual enrichment, preserving and development of national cultures of the people of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ukraine,

being interested in development and deepening of cooperation and exchange in the field of education,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties, according to current legislations of two states and rules of international law, will develop and support cooperation in the field of education on the basis of the principles of equality and mutual respect.

Article 2

The parties will cooperate, paying special attention on the following forms:

- experience exchange in the most important directions of management and planning in the field of education;

- carrying out joint scientific research in the field of humanitarian, natural, technical and pedagogical science which is of mutual interest;

- preparation, retraining of specialists on the basis of complete and partial training of students, graduate students, doctoral candidates, scientific training, advanced trainings, other types of exchanges;

- development of direct cooperation between educational institutions of two states.

Article 3

The parties designate the directions of joint scientific research (programs and participants of researches are determined by educational institutions which are directly involved in researches).
