The governments of the State Parties of this agreement which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

recognizing importance of cooperation in the field of hygienic assessment of potentially dangerous products which under certain conditions according to the hygienic characteristics (parameters) can pose real threat for life and health of the consumer and the circle of its dwelling, for the purpose of the prevention of delivery to the consumer market of products which are not conforming to the established sanitary and epidemiologic and hygienic requirements and requirements of public health care of the states of the Parties

proceeding from need of implementation of works within the interconnected and mutually recognized national systems of the state supervision and control of safety of products with use of single methods, the standardized equipment, aiming at further trade liberalization and considering need of prevention of emergence of artificial barriers to its development within international agreements in the field of international trade,

continuing work on ensuring harmonization of the normative requirements and indicators of safety of products shown by bodies and organizations of the state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance to these or those types of products

in view of that provisions of this agreement extend to products made in the states of the Parties

agreed as follows:

Article 1

For the purposes of this agreement the stated below terms have the following values:

potentially dangerous products - the products containing chemical and biological substances and/or being source of physical factors which make or can make harmful effects on life and health of the person or health of future generations or on condition of the habitat of the person which safe application is provided with hygienic regulation of content in products of the specified substances and levels of impact of physical factors, and also observance of the established regulations;
