About the basic principles of cooperation in the field of transport
The government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of Turkmenistan which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties
considering importance of development of trade and economic cooperation between two states,
being guided by aspiration to further development of cooperation in the field of transport,
recognizing that effective functioning of transport is the most important factor of ensuring development of economy of the states of the Parties,
wishing to develop all modes of transport on the basis of reciprocity and aiming to provide favorable conditions for simplification of implementation of freight and passenger traffic between both states, and also transit across their territories to the third countries,
confirming the cross international liabilities which are earlier assumed by the Parties in the field of transport,
agreed as follows:
The parties will develop and deepen mutual economic and sci-tech cooperation in the field of transport.
Each of the Parties will provide in the territory, according to the legislation of the states of the Parties and on the principles of reciprocity, favorable conditions for functioning of all modes of transport of other Party transporting passengers and loads between both Parties and transit across their territories.
The procedure for the organization of transportations of passengers and loads by railway, air, sea, river and road transport between both states and transit across their territories will be determined on the basis of the international treaties signed between the Parties.
The parties will promote development of direct commercial ties of transport enterprises and organizations of both states and creation of joint businesses in the field of transport.
The parties will help cooperation of the companies of both states in the field of production and repair of vehicles.
