About requirements to ecological designing of energy-requiring products
For the purpose of transposing of the Directive of the European Parliament and Council 2009/125/EU of October 21, 2009 about establishment of the basis for determination of requirements to ecological designing of energy-requiring products published in the Official magazine of the European Union No. L 285 of October 31, 2009
The parliament adopts this ordinary law.
(1) This law establishes the legislation of requirements to ecological designing of the energy-requiring products necessary for ensuring free movement of these products in the domestic market.
(2) the Law determines requirements to energy-requiring products which are introduced on the market and/or are put into operation, that promoting sustainable development, increase in energy efficiency and level of environment protection, and also increase in safety of power supply.
(1) This law is applied to energy-requiring products.
(2) This law is not applied to passenger and to cargo vehicles.
(3) Provisions of this law and measures taken on its basis do not affect the legislation on the environment, including regarding waste management, by chemicals and fluorinated greenhouse gases.
In this law the following basic concepts are used:
improvement of ecological characteristics – process of improvement of ecological product characteristics with each subsequent generation though it is not obligatory for all ecological aspects of product at the same time;
ecological aspect – element or function of product which can interact with the environment during its lifecycle;
the requirement to ecological designing – any requirement to product or designing of product directed to improvement of its ecological characteristics, or any requirement to provision of information on ecological aspects of product. These requirements affirm the Government;
