About modification and amendments in Regulations on procedure for acquisition and loss of nationality of the Republic of Moldova

Based on the article II of the Law No. 24 of March 13, 2014 on introduction of amendments to the Law on nationality of the Republic of Moldova No. 1024-XIV of June 2, 2000 (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2014, No. 86, the Art. 199)

The government DECIDES:

In the regulations on procedure for acquisition and loss of nationality of the Republic of Moldova approved by the Order of the Government No. 197 of March 12, 2001. (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2001, Art. No. 31-34, 232), with subsequent changes and amendments, to make the following changes and additions:

1. Item 2:

1) subitems a) and e) to state in the following edition:

"a) copy of the identity document, as necessary:

- the passport of the foreign citizen and the residence permit – for foreign citizens;

- the identity certificate – for persons behind whom the status of the stateless person or refugee is acknowledged;

- the Soviet passport (sample of 1974) if its authenticity can be established;

- the document issued by competent authority for foreigners in the Republic of Moldova which identifies person and confirms its accommodation in the territory of the Republic of Moldova – for the applicant on provision of the status of the stateless person";

"e) copies of documents: certificates about the births, including minor children, about scrap, about divorce, about change of surname and/or name";

2) in Item g) shall be replaced with words the words "or reference" "and the reference";

2. Item 5:

1) subitems e), h) and i) state in the following edition:

"e) the certificate of the term of legal and continuous stay in the territory of the Republic of Moldova issued by competent authorities or other supporting document if the relevant information does not contain in the State register of the population";

"h) copy of the identity document, as necessary:

- the passport of the foreign citizen and the residence permit – for foreign citizens;
