About friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Turkmenistan

proceeding from the developed traditions between our people, mutual understanding and respect,

the full of determination to build the interstate relations on the principles of equality, justice and mutual understanding,

being guided by aspiration to development of equal, mutually beneficial and full cooperation,

confirming the commitment to the purposes and the principles of Articles of organization of the United Nations, to the conventional principles and rules of international law,

agreed as follows:

Article 1.

High contracting parties shall develop among themselves cooperation on the basis of mutual trust and respect and taking into account mutual interests.

High contracting parties will promote strengthening of mutual understanding and friendship between the people of both states.

Article 2.

High contracting parties make all efforts for ensuring the international security, conflict prevention and providing priority of the conventional principles and rules of international law in the relations between the states.

Article 3.

Each of High contracting parties guarantees to the citizens of other High contracting party living in its territory irrespective of their nationality, origin, the relation to religion or other distinctions, the civil, political, social, economic and cultural laws and freedoms according to the legislation and international treaties which participants are High contracting parties.

Each of High contracting parties recognizes the right of other High contracting party to protect the rights of the citizens living in the territory of other High contracting party to give them support according to the conventional principles and rules of international law, and also according to the legislation of each of High contracting parties.
