The government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Moldova which are hereinafter referred to as by the Parties

convinced that the sci-tech cooperation is important component of complex of the bilateral relations,

wishing to develop and strengthen cooperation between two states in science and technology, making thereby contribution to economic and social development of two states,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties will help sci-tech cooperation on the basis of the principles of equality and mutual advantage, creating for this purpose necessary organizational, legal and economic conditions.

Article 2

The cooperation within this agreement will be performed with observance of the international obligations of the Parties and according to the legislation of the states.

Article 3

The directions of bilateral sci-tech cooperation will be determined proceeding from the priority directions and interests of development of science and technology of both states.

Article 4

The cooperation within this agreement will be implemented in the following forms:

consultations concerning forming and realization of scientific and technical policy in both states;

implementation of joint scientific and technical programs and projects;

creation of the joint research organizations;

forming of joint temporary research teams, and also the innovative companies providing development of the new equipment and technologies;

the organization of joint scientific operation in research establishments, on industrial enterprises, in higher educational institutions, technoparks of the state of other Party, including joint field surveys and expeditions;

involvement of certain scientists and specialists of one of the states to performance of work in another;

holding joint seminars, scientific conferences, meetings and exhibitions.
