The government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Moldova which are hereinafter referred to as by the Parties

recognizing that national and international crime in all its forms poses serious threat for safety of the state, society and the personality, it is shown in all spheres of life activity and undermines political, economic, moral, cultural and spiritual bases of society,

being seriously anxious with scales and tendencies of development of crime in general,

noting cases of the growing communication between drug trafficking, psychotropic substances and precursors, terrorism and organized crime,

in view of provisions of documents of the United Nations in the field of fight against crime, in particular with its organized forms,

paying much attention to international cooperation in the field of fight against crime and expressing desire to render broader and effective mutual assistance in this sphere in case of proper observance of the conventional human rights and freedoms,

acting on the basis of the principles of equality and mutual advantage,

agreed as follows:

Article 1 of the Sphere of cooperation

1. The parties will cooperate in the prevention, identification, suppression and disclosure of crimes, in particular:

crimes against life, health, freedom and advantage of the personality, and also against property;

acts of terrorism;

corruption;

illegal production and drug trafficking, psychotropic substances and precursors;

arms trafficking, including biological, chemical and radiological weapons, ammunition, explosives, nuclear and radioactive materials, and also toxic agents;

crimes in the field of economy, including legalization of income gained from criminal activities, and also production and sale of counterfeit bank notes, financial records, securities, means of cashless payments;

smuggling;
