being guided by provisions of the Agreement on creation of the Union State of December 8, 1999 and the Agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation on joint ensuring regional security in the military sphere of December 19, 1997, for the purpose of logistic support of regional grouping (forces)
agreed as follows:
This agreement regulates questions of logistic support of regional grouping (forces) of Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (further imenuyetsyaregionalny group of troops (forces), located in the territory of the regions of the Russian Federation adjacent to Frontier of the Republic of Belarus, and the territory of the Republic of Belarus, in case of accomplishment of tasks both in peace, and in wartime.
In this agreement logistic support of regional grouping (forces) is understood as carrying out by authorized bodies the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation in interaction with other public authorities of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation of the complex of actions for material, transport and medical support of troops (forces) directed to their maintenance in efficient condition and creating favorable conditions for accomplishment of objectives.
