Regulations on the Representative of the President of Ukraine for the Crimean Tatar people

1. The representative of the President of Ukraine for the Crimean Tatar people (further - the Representative) provides implementation by the President of Ukraine of powers on ensuring compliance with constitutional rights of the Crimean Tatar people as indigenous people of Ukraine.

2. The representative is guided in the activities by the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, acts of the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, international treaties of Ukraine, and also this Provision.

3. The main objectives of the Representative are:

1) monitoring of observance in Ukraine constitutional rights of the Crimean Tatar people and introduction in accordance with the established procedure to the President of Ukraine of offers on the termination of violations of such rights, prevention of attempts of their restriction;

2) participation in preparation of drafts of the laws, acts of the President of Ukraine concerning protection of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people, preserving and development of its ethnic, cultural, language and religious originality;

3) participation in development of offers on protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine;

4) preparation and organization of events with participation of the President of Ukraine, including the international nature, concerning providing the rights of the Crimean Tatar people;
