being guided by the Treaty of friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tajikistan of April 5, 2000,
proceeding from need of further strengthening and development equal and mutually advantageous production and trade and economic relations, giving to them of long-term and steady nature, effective use of economic and scientific and technical capacity of both states and growth in prosperity of their people,
considering interaction on the basis of arrangements within the Commonwealth of Independent States,
agreed as follows.
Contracting parties, recognizing need of step-by-step forming and development of the Common Economic Space, create favorable conditions for review for the main directions of economic transformations by means of rapprochement of regulatory framework in the field of foreign economic activity, customs and tariff and tax policy, anti-monopoly regulation, development of separate projects and programs, rendering assistance to cooperation development, creation of joint production structures according to national legal systems.
Economic cooperation of Contracting Parties is performed by interaction between business entities of any patterns of ownership and subordination, with respect for the universally recognized norms of international law and the national legal system.
Contracting parties realize the Program of long-term trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tajikistan for the period till 2005 (further - the Program) which is integral part of this agreement, exercise step-by-step control of its accomplishment and in case of need introduce amendments in it.
