being guided by the Treaty of friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tajikistan signed on April 5, 2000 in Dushanbe

and also the Agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism signed by heads of governments of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States in December, 1993 to Ashgabat

confirming the commitment to the purposes and the principles of the Olympic Movement,

recognizing mutual interest in establishment of close and long-term collaboration in the field of tourism and sport,

wishing to create legal and normative basis for enhancement of tourist and sports exchange between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tajikistan on equal and mutually advantageous basis,

agreed as follows:

Cooperation in the field of tourism

Article 1

The parties will promote expansion of tourist exchange between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tajikistan for the purpose of acquaintance with life, history and culture of both people.

Article 2

The parties will support closer cooperation between state bodies of management of tourism and tourism organizations, and also between other organizations participating in development of the international and internal tourism.

Article 3

The parties will promote exchange of tourist information, printed materials, movies, to promote holding advertizing campaigns, conferences and seminars, the organization of exhibitions and fairs. For this purpose the Parties can open information centers or to appoint representatives of state bodies of management of tourism in the respective countries.

Article 4

The parties will undertake agreed measures on recovery traditional and to opening of new tourist routes both for citizens of the countries, and for foreign citizens.
