AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS AND CABINET OF MINISTERS OF UKRAINE ON ADDITIONAL MEASURES OF TRUST AND SAFETY

The government of the Republic of Belarus and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, further - "Parties",

expressing the mutual aspiration to promote further enforcement of trust and safety in the region and on the European continent,

keeping development of versatile contacts between them in the military sphere,

aiming at expansion on bilateral basis of the measures directed to increase in trust and transparency of military activities of the Republic of Belarus and Ukraine

being guided by the obligations stated in the Charter of the European safety accepted at the Istanbul summit of OSCE of 1999, and the Vienna document of 1999 of negotiations on confidence building measures and to safety (further - the Vienna document of 1999),

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties develop military cooperation in the designated area as it is determined in Article 3 of this agreement, for the purpose of further strengthening of mutual trust and increase in transparency of military activities of the Republic of Belarus and Ukraine.

Article 2

This agreement signed in development of the Vienna document of 1999 uses the determinations provided in it and procedures of implementation of measures of trust and safety.

Article 3

This agreement extends to activities of the military forces determined by Chapter I of the Vienna document of 1999 in the designated area.

For the purposes of this agreement the designated area includes the territory of the Republic of Belarus and the territory of Ukraine in the area between 52 "10 and 51" 14th northern latitude, 23 "35 and 31" 20th east longitude.

Article 4

Along with annual exchange of military information according to requirements of the Vienna document of 1999, the Party on bilateral basis perform exchange of military information in the format approved between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine on plans for the next year relatively:
