- considering the Agreement between the Government of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of power industry of October 7, 1995,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties take the necessary measures ensuring the parallel functioning of power system of the Azerbaijan Republic and Power pool system of Russia providing including:

- annual approval by competent authorities of the states of the Parties of amounts of the electrical energy planned to movement (transfer) from power system of the Azerbaijan Republic to Power pool system of Russia and (or) from Power pool system of Russia in power system of the Azerbaijan Republic;

- ensuring proper technical condition and the operation of objects of electric grid economy and means of antiemergency automatic equipment which are part of interstate power lines of power systems of the states of the Parties, including implementation of the approved project decisions on commissioning of means of system automatic equipment of power systems of the states of the Parties;
