The Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine which are referred to as as "Contracting parties",

aiming at development of bilateral cooperation in the field of testing and protection of plant varieties, to trade improvement, exchange of genetic material and high-quality resources,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

Contracting parties support, implement and constantly develop bilateral cooperation in the field of testing and protection of plant varieties.

Article 2

The cooperation between Contracting Parties within this agreement will be performed according to the legislation of their states.

Competent authorities of Contracting Parties perform direct connection for the purpose of execution of this agreement and have the right to sign mutual agreements.

Article 3

For the purpose of stable cooperation in the field of testing and protection of plant varieties Contracting Parties shall recognize mutually results of testing of the plant varieties for compliance to protectability conditions (distinguishability, uniformity, stability) which are carried out by Competent Authorities of Contracting Parties and by agreement to exchange them.

Article 4

Competent authorities of Contracting Parties annually till December 1 of the current year approve the program of cooperation the next year.

Article 5

Competent authorities of Contracting Parties perform:

- exchange of information and technical documentation in the field of testing and protection of plant varieties;

- joint development of techniques of testing of plant varieties for compliance to protectability conditions (distinguishability, uniformity, stability) and their economic value;
