About entering of amendments into the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "About traffic in the Kyrgyz Republic"

Article 1. Bring in the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "About traffic in the Kyrgyz Republic" (Sheets of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, 1998, No. 8, the Art. 248) the following amendments:

1. Add Article 2 with paragraphs of the following content:

"the vehicle with left-side arrangement of steering - the vehicle in which the driver's place and steering wheel are located on the left side in the direction of the vehicle;

the vehicle with right-hand arrangement of steering - the vehicle in which the driver's place and steering wheel are located on the right side in the direction of the vehicle.".

2. Add Article 21 with Item 6 of the following content:

"6. Import of the vehicle with right-hand arrangement of steering for registration, the admission to operation and participations in traffic in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, except for the vehicles intended for municipal services, agricultural industry, construction (content) of roads (truck cranes, autoboring, autoconcrete mixers, water-jetting vehicles), and also other types of the vehicles determined by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic is forbidden.

The vehicles having the distinctive registration marks of the states participating in international movement, imported by foreign persons on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic for the term which is not exceeding 6 months with the obligation about the return export are not subject to alienation and registration for the territories of the Kyrgyz Republic.".

Article 2. Operation of this Law does not extend to the vehicles with right-hand arrangement of steering imported before entry into force of this Law.

Article 3. This Law becomes effective after three months from the date of official publication.
