In the Republic of Armenia the fauna is national wealth. It is one of the major elements providing integrity of the nature, guarantee of its ecological equilibrium and harmonious development. In the Republic of Armenia the fauna is property of the state, except as specified, provided by this Law.
This Law establishes state policy in the field of protection, protection, reproduction and use of types of wild fauna in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
the wild animal containing in bondage – individuals of wild types of fauna who are in unnatural conditions their movement is limited to certain territory, their life support is performed by the employee;

use of objects of fauna for the purposes of health care – use of objects of fauna by the licensed organizations in the field of health care for the purpose of receipt of medicinal substances, medicines and other medicines;
use of objects of fauna in the ecological purposes – use of the appeared under the threat, rare or separate species of fauna by their protection, increase in number, the organization of reproduction (except for hunting farms) and other actions (recovery of ecosystems for the purpose of their release in the wild nature or resettlements;
