About medal of honor
Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on July 6, 2000
Article 1. Rewarding with medal of honor is made for protection of the state and national interests of the Republic of Armenia, for special merits in approval of independence, democracy, for establishment, strengthening and development of friendship with the Republic of Armenia, and also for the significant contribution to strengthening of the world between the people.
Article 2. Are awarded with medal of honor:
a) Chapters of foreign states and governments;
b) diplomatic representatives of foreign states;
c) foreign politicians, figures of economy, culture, public figures, philanthropists;
d) the representatives of the international organizations who are not citizens of the Republic of Armenia;
e) foreign religious figures.
Article 3. This Law becomes effective from the moment of its publication.
