About modification and amendments in some legal acts

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. – In article 2 of the Law on additional social protection of some categories of the population No. 121-XV of May 3, 2001 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2001, No. 51, of the Art. 280), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes and addition:

1) to state Item in the following edition:

"1) to disabled people from among the military personnel, officers of information and safety and faces of the commanding and ordinary structure of law-enforcement bodies and penal system which disability came owing to wound, contusions, mutilations received during World War II in case of execution of other obligations of military or special service, or owing to the disease connected with stay at the front in guerrilla groups and connections, the underground organizations and groups during World War II:

The I groups – 1000 lei;

The II groups – 850 lei;

III groups – 775 lei;";

add Article with Item 1-1) of the following content:

"To 1-1) disabled people from among the military personnel, officers of information and safety and faces of the commanding and ordinary structure of law-enforcement bodies and penal system which disability came owing to wound, contusions, mutilations received in case of recovery from the accident on the Chernobyl NPP during participation in fighting in the territory of other states, during fighting on protection of territorial integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova, or owing to the disease connected with participation in recovery from the accident on the Chernobyl NPP including the persons who became disabled people as a result of participation in recovery from the accident, sent to official journeys by the ministries, departments, the companies and the organizations, or participation in fighting in peace time and also the persons who got sick with radiation sickness or became disabled as a result of nuclear testing accidents with the ionizing radiation and their effects on civil or military nuclear facilities during the execution of military or special service, the disabled persons which arrived in 1986 from exclusion zone and which obtained citizenship of the Republic of Moldova:

The I groups – 700 lei;

The II groups – 550 lei;

III groups – 475 lei;";

Art. II. – In the Law on veterans No. 190-XV of May 8, 2003 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2003, Art. No. 84-86, 392), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes and additions:

1. In Article 14:

in part (1):

add part with the Items a-1) and f-1) of the following content:

"a-1) annual financial support on the eve of day on May 9 in the amount of 10 000 lei – to participants of World War II from among the categories specified in subitems a) – e) Item 1) parts (2) Articles 7, and in the amount of 5000 lei – to persons equated to participants of war from among the categories specified in subitems a) – c) and e) Item 2) parts (2) Articles 7, and to persons which were involved by municipal authorities in collection of ammunition and military equipment, mine clearing of the territories and objects in the years of World War II;";

"f-1) of service of tooth prosthetics for veterans of World War II within the assignments provided in the government budget, in the procedure established by the Government;";

Item i) to add with the words "and hearing aids;";

part (to state 2) in the following edition:

"(2) the Expenses connected with provision of services, provided by Items a), c) (partially), f-1) and i) parts (1), the government budget bears. The expenses connected with provision of services, stipulated in Item a-1) of part (1), the Republican fund of social support of the population bears.".

2. Part (Article 20 to add 1) with words ", including compensation for expenses on utilities.".

Art. III. – (1) This law becomes effective from the date of publication, except for article I provisions which become effective since January 1, 2016.

(2) to the Government in three-months time from the date of entry into force of this law:

a) provide to Parliament of the offer on reduction of the current legislation to compliance with this law;

b) bring the regulations into accord with this law.
