I. Article 19 of the Law of Ukraine "About militia" (Sheets of the Supreme Council of USSR, 1991, No. 4, Art. 20; Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1992, No. 36, Art. 526; 2006, 51, the Art. 519) to add No. with parts four - the sixth the following content:

"For the employees of militia captured either hostages, or recognized in the procedure established by the law it is unknown absent, also other types of providing are stored cash. Cash cover, including additional and other types of cash cover, in the sizes established to the employee of militia in day of capture it in captivity or the hostage monthly is paid to families of the specified employees of militia, or recognition in the procedure established by the law is unknown absent.

Cash cover is paid to such members of families of employees of militia:

to the wife (husband), and in case of her (his) absence - to full age children who constantly, mainly or temporarily live together with she (he), or to legal representatives (guardians, custodians) or adoptive parents of minor children (disabled people since the childhood - irrespective of their age), and also to persons which are dependent on police officers or parents of employees of militia equal shares if employees of militia are not married and have no children. At the same time payment of cash cover to these members of families is performed before complete clarification of circumstances of taking of police officers in captivity or hostages, or their releases or recognition in the procedure established by the law is unknown absent or announcements the dead. In all cases payment of cash cover is performed no more than about day of exception of the employee of militia on personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in accordance with the established procedure.
