About establishment of diplomatic classes and ranks for diplomatic workers of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Article 1.

In the Republic of Uzbekistan 3 classes of heads of diplomatic representations of the Republic of Uzbekistan are established:

The ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary accredited in case of Chapter of foreign state;

The minister extraordinary and plenipotentiary accredited in case of Chapter of foreign state;

The chargê d'affaires accredited in case of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of foreign state.

The class to which heads of representations of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall belong is determined by the agreement between the states establishing diplomatic relations.

Article 2.

In the Republic of Uzbekistan the following diplomatic ranks - the special office ranks given to members of diplomatic staff of representations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign countries are established:

Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary;

Minister extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the first class;

Minister extraordinary and plenipotentiary of second class;

Adviser of the first class;

Adviser of second class;

First secretary of the first class;

First secretary of second class;

Second secretary of the first class;

Second secretary of second class;

Third secretary;

Article 3.

Diplomatic ranks of the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary, Minister extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the first and second classes are appropriated by Presidential decrees of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Offers on these questions are made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Other diplomatic ranks are appropriated by orders of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
