About veterinary science
The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of veterinary science.
The legislation on veterinary science consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about veterinary science then are applied rules of the international treaty.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
biological waste - the corpses of animals, products and raw materials of animal origin recognized dangerous in the veterinary and sanitary relation, waste of the veterinary biological industry;
veterinary science - the field of scientific and practical activities aimed at providing protection of life and health of animals, preventions of origin, distribution and liquidation of diseases of animals, protection of the population against diseases, general for animals and the person, protection of the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan against drift of infectious diseases of animals, implementation of veterinary servicing of animals and also on ensuring veterinary wellbeing of the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, veterinary, veterinary and sanitary safety of goods under control to the public veterinary service;
veterinary, veterinary health regulations and regulations - the documents establishing the requirements in the field of veterinary science which are the state and other bodies, legal entities and physical persons, obligatory for observance;
veterinary medicines - the means received from medicinal substances (substances) or from mix of medicinal substances (substances) of natural and synthetic origin, intended for prevention, diagnostics and treatment of diseases of animals and also for change of condition and functions of their organism;
