Article 1. Basic concepts

The basic concepts used in this constitutional Law:

- the citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan - person who on the date of adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan is citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan or according to the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan and international treaties of Tajikistan acquired citizenship of the Republic of Tajikistan;

- citizenship of the Republic of Tajikistan - the steady political legal bond of person with the Republic of Tajikistan including set of the mutual rights and obligations of the Parties;

- the foreign citizen - person who does not have citizenship of the Republic of Tajikistan being the citizen of foreign state;

- the stateless person - person who is not considered as the citizen of any state according to its legislation;

- double citizenship - availability at the citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan of nationality of foreign state and availability at the foreign citizen of citizenship of the Republic of Tajikistan according to international treaties of Tajikistan;

- the child - person who did not reach eighteen-year age;

- accommodation - accommodation of person on legal causes in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan or beyond its limits;
