About introduction of amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning enhancement of separate provisions concerning judicial system

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

1. Make changes to the following laws of Ukraine:

1) part one of article 17 of the Law of Ukraine "About the Supreme council of justice" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1998., No. 25, Art. 146; 2015, 18, the Art. 132) to replace No. with two parts of the following content:

"The member of the High Council of Justice recites the oath of the following content:

"I swear honesty, fairly and without prejudice to perform powers of the member of the High Council of Justice for ensuring forming of the fair, highly professional, independent case of judges for the purpose of compliance with law and ethics in activities of judges and prosecutors".

The member of the High Council of Justice recites the oath instantly after position assignment to body which appointed it. The member of the High Council of Justice who is its part on position instantly recites the oath at meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine".

With respect thereto the second to consider part part three;

2) item 4 of the Section II "Final and transitional provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "About providing the right to fair trial" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2015, No. 18, Art. 132; with the changes made by the Law of Ukraine of April 21, 2015 No. 336-VIII) to add with the paragraph the fourth the following content:

"Members of the High Council of Justice, the judges of Ukraine appointed by congress before entry into force of this Law, acquire powers after bringing of the oath by them at meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine".

2. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.
