The governments of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States which further are referred to as with the Parties

for the purpose of implementation of interaction in case of accomplishment of provisions of the Agreement on carrying out coordinated policy in the field of standardization, metrology and certification of March 13, 1992,

considering economic feasibility of cooperation on ensuring unity to reliability of measurements,

being interested in effective activities of metrological services for testing, metrological certification, checking and calibration of measuring instruments,

in view of need of preserving action of standards with abbreviation of "GOST" as interstate and preferential forming with their use of requirements to methods and measuring instruments, metrological regulations and rules, processes of measurements, to processing and representation of their results,

recognizing as units of measurements in the territories of the State Parties of this agreement of units of measurements of the International System of Units (SI),

providing participation of the national standards of units of sizes in "key", interregional, interstate or bilateral checkings,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The purpose of this agreement is determination of the main conditions of mutual recognition of results: testing for the purpose of approval of type, metrological certification, checking and calibration of measuring instruments and distribution for recognition of results of testing for the purpose of approval of type, testing (metrological certification) of single copies of the measuring instruments made in the State Parties of this agreement, and also checking and calibration of the measuring instruments which are carried out in the State Parties of this agreement.
