About provision to the Republic of Belarus of the status of the partner in dialogue of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (further SCO or the Organization) and the Republic of Belarus (further the Partner), further referred to as with the Parties,

being guided by the purposes and the principles of SCO,

wishing to establish the relations of equal mutually advantageous partnership,

according to Regulations on the status of the partner in dialogue of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization of August 28, 2008 (further - the Provision) and other international treaties and documents existing within SCO

based on the address of the Republic of Belarus of January 29, 2009 and the Decision No. 3 of Council of Chapters of state members of SCO of June 16, 2009,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties will perform cooperation in the following directions which are of mutual interest:

- support and encouragement of regional economic cooperation in different forms, assistance to creating favorable conditions for trade and investments;

- effective use of the available infrastructure in the field of transport and communications, development of transit potential, activation of interaction in customs affairs;

- expansion of bank, credit and financial and investment interaction;

- development and implementation of actions on joint counteraction to terrorism, separatism and extremism, drug trafficking and weapon, to other types of transnational criminal activities, and also illegal migration;

- development and deepening of partnership in questions of regional and global security;

- development of contacts and experience exchange in the field of ensuring food security and other areas, rendering mutual aid in the prevention of emergency situations of natural and technogenic nature and liquidation of their effects;

- development of interaction in the scientific and technical sphere, education, health care, cultural and social areas;
