About modification and amendments in the Judicial code of the Republic of Armenia

Article 1. Add article 2 of the Judicial code of the Republic of Armenia of February 21, 2007 (further – the Code) after the words "judicial authority" with words ", and also reconciliations".
Article 2. Add the Code with Section 7.1 of the following content:
"Section 7.1. Conciliation
Chapter 31.1. Legal status of conciliators
Article 227.1. Conciliator and conciliation
1. The conciliator is person who as not biased third party based on the conciliation agreement performs conciliation for the dispute resolution which arose between the parties. The conciliator, in the procedure established by the law, has the right to be engaged in the activities both in permanent conciliatory organization, and out of it.
2. Conciliation can be performed as on specific dispute, (ad hoc/ad hoc), and in permanent conciliatory organization.
Article 227.2. Principles of conciliation and general rules of conduct of the conciliator
1. Process of conciliation is performed on the basis of the principles of voluntariness, confidentiality, equality of the parties, impartiality of the conciliator.
2. The conciliator shall be guided by the following general rules of conduct:
1) to reveal any interest or the relation which can negatively affect impartiality of the conciliator,
2) to provide the equal, valid and impartial relation to the parties of dispute,

4) to observe confidentiality of conciliation,
5) to perform conciliation in the shortest possible time,
6) to promote forming of trust and reputation of conciliation.
