About modification in the Penitentiary code of the Republic of Armenia

Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on December 16, 2005

Article 1. To state appendix to the Penitentiary code of the Republic of Armenia (of December 24, 2004) in the following edition:

"The list of the property which is not subject to confiscation according to the court verdict

Confiscation cannot extend to the following property belonging to the convict:

1) the Objects of home use which are in application, clothes, footwear, linen, bed and children's accessories for exception of luxury goods and those objects which are made of precious materials or have historical or art value;

2) the objects necessary for professional works of the convict, benefits and books unless the convict according to the court verdict is deprived of the right to occupation by certain activities, and those objects which are made of precious materials or have historical or art value;

3) pets (2 units), poultry (10 units), forage for the cattle, the seed material necessary for the next crops at those persons, whose major activity – agricultural industry;

4) the property having insignificant cost and other property worth up to 5000 dramas if they do not constitute single set;

5) the special vehicles provided for disabled people".

Article 2. This law becomes effective next day after official publication.
