About modification and amendments in some legal acts

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. – In the Law on general safety of products No. 422-XVI of December 22, 2006 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2007, Art. No. 36-38, 145), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes and additions:

1. Add Article 1 with parts (4) and (5) the following content:

"(4) This law does not extend on:

a) foodstuff;

b) stern for animals, plant and live animals;

c) the waste products of the person and products of plant and animal origin which are directly connected with their subsequent reproduction;

d) narcotic, psychotropic substances and precursors;

e) medical products, the active implanted medical products, medical products for diagnostics of in vitro;

f) medicines for people and animals.

(5) Requirements to safety of products specified in part (4) this Article, are regulated by special laws.".

2. In Article 2:

replace the concept "placement of products in the market" with the concept "provision of products in the market" of the following content:

"provision of products in the market – delivery to the market of products for distribution, consumption or use in the course of business activity, for a fee or free of charge;".

3. In Article 3:

part (to state 1) in the following edition:

"(1) Producers (importers) and distributors shall provide only safe products in the market.";

in part (the words "and to health regulations" to exclude 2).

4. In part (3) Article 7 of the word "Coordination council in the field of consumer protection", shall be replaced with words "Coordination council on consumer protection and supervision of the market,".

5. To state the name of Chapter IV in the following edition:

"Chapter IV. Supervision of the market regarding the general requirement of safety of products".

6. Add the law with Article 7-1 of the following content:

"Article 7-1. Supervision of the market regarding the general requirement of safety of products
