1. Control chamber of the Republic of Armenia (further – Control chamber) - the independent state body exercising external state control over use of budgetary funds and the state-owned and communal property.
2. The control chamber when implementing the tasks is independent of state bodies of the Republic of Armenia.
3. The control chamber can appear in court in quality of the claimant or defendant on behalf of the Republic of Armenia.
4. The residence of Control chamber – the city of Yerevan.
The control chamber in the course of the activities is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, this Law, other legal acts and the regulations.
1. The principles of activities of Control chamber are independence, legality, impartiality and publicity.
2. Control of Control chamber is exercised by principle of collective leadership.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
external state control (control) – process which is directed to accomplishment of the powers on control imposed on Control chamber by the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and the law
