About sci-tech cooperation

The government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of Turkmenistan which are hereinafter referred to as "Party"

expressing mutual desire to develop cooperation in the field of science,

in view of that such cooperation will allow to combine efforts of the Parties for the solution of the tasks which are of mutual interest

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties during implementation of this agreement are guided by the national legal system of the states of the Parties and the commonly accepted regulations and the principles of international law.

Article 2

The parties will realize cooperation, in the following forms:

exchange of scientific experience, technique, scientific and technical information;

exchange of advanced technologies;

rendering assistance in advanced training of research associates;

organization of scientific seminars and conferences.

The cooperation can be performed also in other mutually agreed forms.

Article 3

The parties will encourage cooperation in preparation of scientific personnel of the top skills.

For this purpose of the Party will support:

- scientific training for a long time persons having rank of the candidate or doctor of science within exchange quota;

- joint management of theses;

- exchange of scientists for implementation of joint scientific research on the basis of direct agreements;

- establishment of direct connections between laboratories.

Article 4

The parties will help equal and mutually advantageous sci-tech cooperation.

The directions of cooperation are determined by the Parties proceeding from mutual interests.

The parties provide protection of the intellectual property rights which can be donated or created as a result of cooperation within this agreement, taking into account the national legal system of the states of the Parties.
