About introduction of amendments to article 9 of the Law of Ukraine "About citizenship of Ukraine" concerning establishment of the simplified procedure for acceptance in citizenship of Ukraine foreigners and stateless persons which pass military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Bring in article 9 of the Law of Ukraine "About citizenship of Ukraine" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2001, No. 13, Art. 65; 2005, No. 30, Art. 408) following changes:

1. In part two:

add Item 3 with the paragraph the fourth the following content:

"For foreigners and stateless persons which in the procedure established by the legislation of Ukraine pass military service under the contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine the term of continuous accommodation on legal causes in the territory of Ukraine is established for three years from coming into force of the contract on passing of military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine";

to add item 4 paragraph two after the words "and on foreigners and persons without citizenship" with the words "in the procedure established by the legislation of Ukraine pass military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine or".

2. Third after the words "which have outstanding merits in front of Ukraine" to add part with the words "including on foreigners and persons without citizenship who in the procedure established by the legislation of Ukraine pass military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and are awarded by the state award".

II. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.

2. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in a month from the date of entry into force of this Law:

bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this Law;

provide reduction by the ministries and other central executive bodies of their regulatory legal acts in compliance with this Law.
