understanding the responsibility to this and future generation for prevention of ecological disasters and catastrophic crashes, degradations of the environment and creation of ecologically harmless zone of dwelling,
in view of national legal systems of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Lithuania in the field of environmental protection,
agreed as follows:
The parties will perform cooperation in the field of environmental protection on the basis of equality and mutual advantage.
Practical types of cooperation will be determined by the Parties jointly, according to national legal systems and ecological programs of the states of the Parties.
The cooperation will be performed in the following main directions:
- protection of atmospheric air against pollution;
- research, rational use, protection and protection of water systems;
- processing of waste (including dangerous);
- regulation of recreational use of national parks;
- protection of the surrounding environment against radiation pollution;
- preserving biological diversity, development and implementation of projects on studying and rescuing of the rare and being under the threat of disappearance animal species and plants, and also control over export and import by them;
- protection of soils and rational use of land resources;
