being guided by basic provisions of the Agreement on friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan of May 19, 1993, wishing to promote further development and deepening of bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and sciences,

for the purpose of setting standards of mutual recognition of education documents, academic degrees and ranks,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

This agreement determines procedure for recognition of the documents of the state sample on education issued by educational institutions of the Parties with full-time courses, documents on award of academic degrees and assignment of the academic statuses issued in the Republic of Kazakhstan and in Turkmenistan.

Article 2

The documents of the state sample on the secondary general education issued in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the documents of the state sample on general secondary education issued in Turkmenistan mutually are recognized the Parties in case of continuation of education at the subsequent level according to the national legal system of the states of the Parties.

Article 3

Diplomas about the termination of professional educational institutions the Republic of Kazakhstan and diplomas and certificates on the termination of professional educational institutions in training of specialists of average link and personnel mutually are recognized the Parties in case of training continuation Turkmenistan, and also in case of revenues to work according to the appropriated qualification if duration and content of training in the specialty in them are comparable.
