The Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Lithuania which further are referred to as with "High contracting parties"
- confirming the commitment to rules of international law, the purposes and the principles established in Articles of organization of the United Nations and documents of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe
- convinced that further development of the relations of friendship and mutual cooperation between them are equitable to interests of both states,
- proclaiming the determination to respect the universally international standards about human rights,
- aiming to develop mutually beneficial cooperation in political, economic, cultural, scientific and other areas,
agreed as follows:
High contracting parties will develop friendship, consistently adhering to the principles of sovereign equality, refusal of use of force or threat of force, inviolability of borders, territorial integrity, peaceful settlement of disputes, non-interference to internal affairs of each other, respect of human rights and freedoms, mutually beneficial cooperation, fair accomplishment of the international obligations.
High contracting parties should join and take part in the organizations, the military alliances (blocks) which activities are directed against one of High contracting parties.
Not allow high contracting parties that their territories would be used for the purpose of implementation of the armed aggression or hostile activities against other High contracting party.
High contracting parties, according to their domestic legislations, will prohibit in the territory organization and organization activity and groups, and also activities of the individuals aiming to undermine or destroy independence, statehood and territorial integrity of other High contracting party or to seize power.
