About modification and amendments in the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About citizenship of the Republic of Armenia"

Article 1. In Item 2 of part 1 of article 10 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About citizenship of the Republic of Armenia" of November 6, 1995, the word "persons" shall be replaced with words ZR-16 (further - the Law) "on nationality Armenians", and the words "December 31, 2014" the words "December 31, 2016".

Article 2. To state part 4 of article 11 of the Law in the following edition:

"In the absence of consent the child acquires citizenship of the Republic of Armenia:

1) if he was born in the Republic of Armenia or,

2) if, in case of not acquisition of citizenship of the Republic of Armenia, becomes the stateless person, or

3) if parents constantly live in the Republic of Armenia.".

Article 3. To state article 12 of the Law in the following edition:

"Article 12. Nationality of the child of persons which do not have nationality and also nationality of that child which nationality of parents is unknown or whose parents cannot give the nationality to the child, according to the legislation of the country (countries) of the nationality

1. The child who was born in the Republic of Armenia acquires citizenship of the Republic of Armenia if:

1) parents - stateless persons;

2) nationality of parents is not known;

3) parents are citizens of other country (countries), however cannot give the nationality to the child, according to the legislation of the country (countries) of the nationality;

4) one of parents - person which does not have nationality, and another - the citizen of other country who, according to the legislation of the country of the nationality, cannot give the nationality to the child;

5) one of parents - person which does not have nationality, and nationality of another is not known;
