About the state protection of the victims, witnesses and other participants of criminal trial
This Law installs the system of measures of the state protection of the victims, witnesses and other participants of criminal trial including security measure and social protection of specified persons and also determines the bases and procedure for their application.
The state protection of the victims, witnesses and other participants of criminal trial (further – the state protection) – implementation of the security measures provided by this Law directed to protection of their life, health or property (further – security measures), and also measures of social protection of specified persons (further – measures of social protection) in connection with their participation in criminal trial by the state bodies authorized on that.
1. The legislation of Turkmenistan on the state protection is based on the Constitution of Turkmenistan and consists of this Law and other regulatory legal acts of Turkmenistan.
2. The bodies performing security measures publish within the powers according to the legislation of Turkmenistan the regulatory legal acts regulating the organization and tactics of implementation of security measures.
Due to criminal proceeding body of inquiry, the investigator, the prosecutor, court shall take all measures according to the legislation of Turkmenistan for protection of life, health, honor, advantage and protection of property, persons participating in case and other persons, to ensuring their safety.
