The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation which are hereinafter referred to as by the Parties

expressing desire to promote expansion of friendly bonds between the people of Kazakhstan and Russia, to the best acquaintance with life, history and cultural heritage of two states,

understanding that tourism is important means of strengthening of mutual understanding, expression of good will and consolidation of the relations between the people,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties will strengthen and develop cooperation in the field of tourism on the basis of equality, mutual advantage and according to this agreement, the legislation of the states of each of the Parties and international treaties which participants are the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.

Article 2

Accomplishment of this agreement of the Party is assigned to the state bodies of management of tourism:

from the Republic of Kazakhstan - tourism Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan and sport;

from the Russian Federation - the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation.

Article 3

The parties will support the state bodies of management of tourism in their activities for establishment and development of cooperation between the Kazakhstan and Russian tourism organizations performing capital investments in the sphere of tourism and organizing joint venture for the purpose of servicing of tourists.

Article 4

The parties will aim at simplification of the boundary, customs and other formalities connected with tourist trips of citizens of both states.

Article 5

The parties will expand both organized group, and individual tourism, including for the purpose of visit of sporting events, musical, theater and folklore festivals, and also exhibitions held concerning tourism, symposiums and congresses.
