The Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan which further are referred to as with the Parties, confirming commitment to the Contract on eternal friendship between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan of April 8, 1997, considering need of cooperation and enhancement of interaction in the field of fight against drug trafficking, weapon and others, prohibited to movement through the Kyrgyz-Kazakhstan frontier (further - frontier) goods and objects, the prevention of illegal migration, and also counteraction to terrorism and extremism, recognizing need of combination of efforts for providing law and order on frontier, agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties perform cooperation for the purpose of acceptance of effective and agreed measures for the benefit of law enforcement on frontier.

Authorized executive bodies of the Parties (daleeupolnomochenny bodies) for accomplishment of provisions of this agreement are:

from the Kyrgyz Side - the Ministry of Defence of the Kyrgyz Republic;

from the Kazakhstan Side - Committee of homeland security of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In case of change of official names or functions of authorized bodies, the Parties without delay will notify on this each other through diplomatic channels.

Article 2

Authorized bodies, according to national legal systems of the Parties, perform cooperation in the following directions:

exchange of information, being of mutual interest;

fight against terrorism and extremism, arms trafficking, ammunition, explosive and toxic agents, radioactive materials;

fight against illegal migration and illicit movement of drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors through frontier;

implementation of agreed measures on suppression of unlawful activity on frontier;

operational search activities for the benefit of protection of frontier; experience exchange on protection of frontiers with the adjacent states, to questions of implementation of border control, training of specialists, and also in use of technical means of protection;
