About protection and use of objects of cultural heritage
The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of protection and use of the objects of cultural heritage which are national property of the people of Uzbekistan.
The legislation on protection and use of objects of cultural heritage consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
The relations in the field of protection and use of objects of cultural heritage in the Republic of Karakalpakstan are regulated also by the legislation of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about protection and use of objects of cultural heritage then are applied rules of the international treaty.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
ensembles - accurately localizable in historically developed territory of group of the isolated or integrated monuments, structures and constructions of public, administrative, religious, scientific, educational, fortification, palace, residential, trade, production and other assignment with the related works of painting, sculpture, arts and crafts, architecture, the unity or communication with which landscape represent the historical, archaeological, architectural, esthetic or welfare value, and also fragments of historical layouts and buildings of settlements, works of landscape architecture and sadovoparkovy art (gardens, parks, squares, boulevards);
