The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

for the purpose of creating favorable conditions for development of the message between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan,

being guided by need of enhancement of procedure for the omission through the Kazakhstan-Uzbek frontier of persons, vehicles, loads, goods and animals,

recognizing need of identification and suppression of illegal migration, arms trafficking, drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors, and also acceptances of joint and timely measures according to the prevention of distribution of epidemics and epizooty,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

For crossing of the Kazakhstan-Uzbek frontier by persons and vehicles, and also cargo transfers, goods and animals of the Party will establish the international, bilateral check points through frontier (further referred to as - check points).

Lists of check points of the Party will approve through diplomatic channels and will draw up protocols which will be integral parts of this agreement.

Under approval of boundary and customs departments of the states of the Parties and according to national legal systems of the states of the Parties Items of the simplified omission of citizens of the states of the Parties can be established.

Article 2

Crossing of the Kazakhstan-Uzbek frontier by persons through automobile check points can be performed with use of vehicles or on foot.

Article 3

Boundary, customs and, if necessary, other types of control of persons, vehicles, loads, goods and animals (further referred to as control) are performed at check points according to national legal systems of the states of the Parties and international treaties which participants they are.
