The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

being guided by the Agreement on carrying out coordinated policy in the field of standardization, metrology and the certification signed on March 13, 1992 by heads of governments of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States

noting important role of standards and systems of certification in elimination of technical barriers in trade and economic and sci-tech cooperation,

recognizing need of safety of products and services for life and health of the person, technical and information compatibility, interchangeability of products delivered each other, and

also environmental protections,

considering mutual economic interest,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties will develop and strengthen on agreed terms cooperation in the following directions:

creation, enhancement, checking and certification of the state standards of units of sizes;

development and production of standard samples of structure and properties of substances and materials, obtaining and application of standard help data on physical constants and properties of substances and materials;

recognition of certificates of approval like measuring instruments and results of their check and calibration;

recognition of certificates and marks of conformity on products and services in mutually agreed rules and procedures;

development within joint programs of state standards,

qualifiers of products, the unified systems of documentation.

Article 2

The parties agreed:

apply if necessary state standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the territory of the Russian Federation and, respectively, state standards of the Russian Federation in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
